Nathan Pensky

Nathan Pensky is a writer and adjunct professor at Duquesne University and University of Pittsburgh. He has published writing in The A.V. ClubThe Los Angeles Review of BooksMcSweeney'sThe Pittsburgh Post-GazetteElectric LiteratureThe Chronicle of Higher EducationThe Boston Globe, and many others. He has published two novellas with indie presses, and his first academic book Cartesian Theaters, Shakespearean Minds will be published with Edinburgh University Press in 2026. Mason Stockstill

A “marketing and communications professional” in Los Angeles, Mason is the author of several unpublished novels and far more press releases. As a journalist, his work won some awards and was translated into some languages. He is a sucker for crime fiction and can occasionally be found on Bluesky. His son and wife are not yet sick of this podcast, but there is still time.
